VDD assesses that in relation to the planned public event in Rātslaukums tomorrow, 9 February 2019, there are risks of provocations and this event can be used by radically minded persons in their interests.
VDD invites residents not to take part in the provocations and unlawful activities which threaten the safety of persons and the public order and which determine administrative and criminal liability.
Persons are asked to inform VDD (phone no.: 67208964, e-mail: dd(abols)vdd.gov.lv) about the possible provocations at any time of the day. About the incidents during the event persons are asked to inform State Police (phone no.: 110 or address the nearest policemen).
VDD reminds that everyone has the right of the freedom of speech, which includes the right to express one’s views openly.
