Latvian State Security Service (VDD) has started to verify the possible engagement in providing support to Russia’s armed forces by a company registered in Latvia – SIA "Pobeda Confectionery".
VDD is verifying the publicly announced information that the Russian confectionery "Pobeda" has donated a large volume of produce to Russia’s armed forces, which are committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Ukraine. In the course of the verification process VDD will assess the potential engagement in providing support to Russia’s army by the company registered in Latvia – SIA "Pobeda Confectionery", related to the said Russian company, as well as its owners and true beneficiaries.
Currently VDD refrains from further comments.
